Nb swadlebees - 16lbs really??
I've been eyeing various brands of newborn AIO and I just noticed that the size chart for the nb swadlebees simplex says 6-16 lbs. Does it really fit a 16 lb baby? How is the absorbency? I'm now super interested in these because my daughter wasn't 16 lbs until she was about 6 months old. That diaper could potentially last a really long time for the LO on the way - assuming he/she is similar on size as DD #1. If this is true it will change my mind about the investment.

No way they will last that long imo! I haven't tried them yet, but looking at them and the absorbency, no way :P

Hmm. I thought maybe it was too good to be true. Can anyone whose used these tell me how long they work? Approximate weight range and age would be super helpful for planning.

Re: Nb swadlebees - 16lbs really??
I bought a bunch. I have not used them yet. From what I have heard they last for most until 4 months. I got them bc my dd is still 18lbs at 18 months so I wanted something for NB due in April. You can add extra absorbancy to these. I think they grow out of absorbancy before they grow out of the size but I can always add something to it.

Re: Nb swadlebees - 16lbs really??
My 12 week old, 12-13 lb. boy is on the largest setting and the rise is looking a bit low. We might squeeze into it for a few more weeks, but not much longer. I still think it the best NB diaper I had, fwiw.

Re: Nb swadlebees - 16lbs really??
Well, 3-4 months still seems pretty good to me - better than 2 months which is what I was initially thinking for newborn dipes. Thanks for the replies. I agree that something could be added to help absorbency as long as it fit for the most part.

My little guy was still wearing them when he was around 15ish pounds. It's a fantastic diaper!

We're still using them but for us they didn't start fitting well till 1 month (5lb baby) and have lots of room to grow. I'd guess they would work at least 4-5 months if your lo is on the small side.

Re: Nb swadlebees - 16lbs really??
Didn't use simplex, but I did use the swaddlebees eco mini (to 15lbs) and they did last a long time (4 mos) on my thin 8lbs baby (was long and skinny) he outgrew the rise before the weight limit, but hey- I was happy he fit in them for 4 mos! I was only counting on getting 2 mos. max out of a NB diaper. Was a great purchase for me! And they easily could have fit a smaller NB too, they got so tiny when rise was snapped down.
