Summer Camp Full Already
I just called to register my son for the "best deal in the area" summer camp, and there were only two spots left! It's the first week of February! I'm so glad we got in. It's at the Nature Center in mid June, and only costs $25 for the week!!!!!
I thought I was calling too early, but wanted to be sure we got in before it was full. If I would've waited a week, it would have already been full. Crazy, right? |

Re: Summer Camp Full Already
Yep they fill up fast.
The day summer camp my son goes to starts registration in August for the next year and his camp is 4000 for 10 weeks. It fills up mainly with kids that come back year after year.

Re: Summer Camp Full Already
If I found a camp like that, I'd be signing up at the end of one summer for the next!Daycamps here are well over $100 for a week. Overnight camps are $400-500 for a week. WAY out of our price range, cuz you can't exactly only send one kid out of all of them! And for that $$ we all can go camping for a week or more, all together.

Re: Summer Camp Full Already
In my neck of the woods, summer camps usually open their registration in January and the popular ones are full by the end of the month. $25 per week is AMAZING. The cheapest camps here (granted, an incredibly expensive city) are around $350-400/week.

Re: Summer Camp Full Already
Holy smokes! $25 for a week? That is crazy cheap! No wonder why it is almost full.
Our zoo camp fills up pretty fast here as well, unfortunately it isn't anywhere near that price, lol. But, it is worth it. The kids absolutely love it and my oldest who isn't one to open up and talk about things during the day wouldn't stop talking about it for almost 2 hours! Our kids love, love, love summer camps! They each do the full day zoo camp and they did a week at our gym camp, but I wasn't too impressed. They did enjoy it, but I need to look at other ones. There is a local farm that supposedly has an amazing summer camp also. I will have to see how much it costs though. I will probably let ds do the zoo camp this year, but have to decide to do half day or full day with him. It is hard b/c I'm not sure if he can do the full day, but it is almost an hour round trip and to do it 3 times a day for 5 days could be a killer on me. I'm guessing we will be spending over a grand on camps this summer.
