ok I do not understand why so many people are wary of vaccines, can someone explain this to me? in a risk vs benefit analysis, what exactly is the risk you are trying to avoid? please provide me with sources.

Here's a few of our reasons:

1. There aborted fetal cells in vaccines.
2. There are brain damaging chemicals in vaccines (aluminum, mercury, fomaldehyde, etc).
3. Vaccines have terrible side effects.
4. Vaccines have never been proven effective, check the data, the diseases we already in decline before vaccines came along.
5. If you are a Christian there are Biblical reasons. Do a search on pharmakeia. (and read Revelation 18:23 pharmakeia = sorcery)

The biggest problem I've found in researching is you can find sources to support both sides. So you really have to decide what sources you trust.

Yup.

I got all my info direct from the cdc and the who. And still chose not to vaccinate my kids.

I trust the cdc puts out proper and enough information to make an informed decision. For me it was not enough to persuade me to vaccinate.

There is a sticky in this forum about vaccines. If you just want info, as opposed to starting a fight, that might be your best option.

Doesn't the sticky only contain pro-vaccing links though? I read Dr. Sears's Vaccine Book, and even though it's pro-vaccine, it was all I needed to decide not to vaccinate. I also checked the vaccine ingredients and checked out books from my university's medical library as well, but Dr. Sears's book was the best resource.
