Is it possible to turn cloth diapers into trainers?

Is it possible to turn cloth diapers into trainers? I thought about buying the grovia sides,not sure it would work?? Ideas

When Tharen was little and potty learning I used some of his side snap fitteds as trainers, I just snapped them loose enough for him to pull up and down himself. Obviously they were not leak proof but worked well for around the house. I just put his woolies back on when we left the house. He potty learned very quickly and didn't wear many trainers. I did have a couple for overnights. He still wets the bed sometimes now.

I don't have personal (per say) experience with this, but a good friend used her regular CDs and just fastened them looser than typical- he was training late summer so she kept his pants off because he had trouble with those!

I second the idea about side-snapping fitted diapers. Especially in the beginning when your toddler isn't pulling their own pants up and down, and when the accidents are more than the potty events. I used Sandy's for this because they are pretty adjustable and absorbent but the toddler can definitely feel wet. I had to abandon the pocket diapers with the inner polyfleece during PL because the kid just felt too comfy in the wet diapers.
