*trigger warning?*
Has begun making death threats. Started with just me, now it is anyone who upsets him. We are working with DCF, in home therapy, and our local crisis program. I'm just completely at a loss with all his other issues. And honestly, I don't want him to live at home anymore. I don't know how much more of him I can handle. That's all :'(

Re: My Oldest Childkcd
I'm sorry
My youngest does this too. He is a very dark child and dwells on things no child should really talk about. It started when he was a toddler and has just gotten worse as he has become more verbal and more volatile. We are working with his pedi (who specializes in behavioral therapy and development) and his developmental specialist but it is hard not ever having anyone to talk to. It isn't the sort of thing you tell other people.

Re: My Oldest Childkcd
![]() I also have a child with extreme emotional troubles that are at this point under control. Two years ago thing were so bad that we did seriously consider having him live elsewhere. It was awful! I love him so much, but things were that bad. I really thought it might be better for him. Things have improved and at this point are under control. You aren't alone. One thought: eliminate TV and screen time, make sure all your books are educational and character building. Not sure if you do those things already, but what goes in does come out. I know that isn't the cause or 100%, but it does help and its 1 thing you can control.

This morning was not good. He became out of control several times, became violent. He physically attacked my mom, myself, his brother, the in home therapist, and both crisis management clinicians that I called.
He is being admitted to a psychiatric facility for a higher level of care. We were lucky that the local facility had a bed and did a direct admit, otherwise I would have had to stay in the ER with him until placement, which could have been anywhere. :'(
