Re: Pics please: longies "outfits" & some questions

This is my absolute favorite thing about wool---it lasts SO long! This is my son when I first got these woolies a year (or more?) ago. They were big, so I traded them to a friend for her son & he wore them 'til he outgrew them & then she passed them back! Now my son is still wearing them!

Re: Pics please: longies "outfits" & some questions

Just got these made for my sons bday! Which is today! Dbk storybook ending

Patons wool scrappies

Hc scrappies knit by the lovely mrsstripe! These fit him better now

And of course CRANKIES!

I've only had one shirt made for an outfit because its really easy to match most longies. I just look for a shirt that has one or two of the colors in the longies in it. Scrappies are easiest to match because they have a ton of colors!

Mrsstripe, I saw your st. Patty's day longies and it reminded me that I need to get some for my little Irish babe.

Re: Pics please: longies "outfits" & some questions

Thanks ladies. I will admit that they are wearing on me & I'm kind of getting excited. But I have some new questions & I'm not done seeing your outfits yet, so keep them coming!

So, as far as putting together "outfits", would you typically find 3-4 shirts for each pants since you can use them so many times?

Do babydoll tees for girls look cute with longies? Or would I need to find a slimmer fitting wool pant?

I was hoping to find some good quality, low cost, GN longies- since I have a 7 mo boy & a 2 yo girl who are basically the same size. Then I can buy them each a few shirts and call it good. Do you think that would work? Any places I should be looking?

I think that's a good plan! There isn't a whole lot on fsot for lower price ranges but spots is a good was to start. The only thing you will run into with sharing wool is the inseam. The inseam might be way too long for your 7 month old or way too shirt for your older one.

You can specifically ask the seller if the wool is easy to cuff or not.

I've made St. Patty's day longies each year for my boys. Not sure if he'll get specific ones this year or not. I think last year's might still fit. Hmm, I usually get them shirts too. Might need to get on that.

We love our woolies here! We usually have 2 or 3 shirts that coordinate with each pair so we can get a lot of use out of them.
