I cut out all coffee and tea with DD. It was not difficult to do since we actually cut out caffeine while struggling to concieve and I was already off of it.

I was going to allow myself 1 cup a day with this baby, but the baby flat out didn't want it and it made me feel so guilty anyways. About the 3rd trimester, I've started having coffee again. At first was once a week, then every other day... and now it's almost daily, but I try to not drink it every day because it still makes me feel guilty. The biggest reason I started was cause the holiday creamers came out and it made me want it SO BAD!

now I'm back to french vanilla and well... not quite as exciting

I have a cup of coffee a day. I don't think I drank any soda with DS, but I don't normally drink it so it's not some big sacrifice. I have had people try to guilt me about it. My doctor thinks its fine and based on what I've read the study linking coffee with an elevated risk of miscarriage didn't account for morning sickness. If you have m/s you're more likely to carry to term, but less likely to be able to drink coffee without ralphing.

didn't have any in the first trimester, or rarely.
second trimester, increased it to tea/water daily.
now in the third trimester, i drink my starbucks double shot in the mornings, then maybe a coke during the day. the rest it's water/cranberry juice.

still don't exceed 200mg a day, though.

I still have a cup of coffee every once in a while (maybe twice a week). If I have a lot to do (ie two houses to clean) and no energy I might have two cups, but never more than that. I have also been wanting soda which is weird since I almost never drank it before, mostly in drinking ginger ale, although I did have a big drink of Dhs coke last week. Hfcs and all

The amount of caffiene you are taking in when drinking iced tea is pretty minimal. You get more caffeine from taking an excedrine.

When i was pregnant I would have two or three cups a day of regular coffee. Then they came out to play and i realized caffeine was the enemy because it really affected their sleep! Like if I had a coffee at 11:00 am they would be up all night. Once they weaned i was quite pleased to get back to my normal
