Train table question

I think my mommy brain is working overtime. I have a 7 year age difference with my youngest, I put the train table in the attic years ago. It occurred to me that my almost 2.5 year old dd might like it but I can't for the life of me remember the age my others played with it.

What age do you think is a good age to have it out?

I got ours out when my son was 1 1/2. He used it for trains, snacks, art, etc

Mine was full of tracks and trains so it wouldn't be multi purpose. Only trains. I'm just not sure if she'd old enough to play with it as opposed to throwing the trains around.

My 2.5yr loves our train table. We switch out whats on it pretty often though. He'll play with a train set for about a day then wants to destroy it and pieces end up everywhere.

This was exactly how DS was!
For some reason my dd seems so young to me but I think it's because she's my last and I want her to stay little! I guess I'll be going to the attic today

We bought ours a couple weeks before DS turned 2, and he has played with it daily since. He LOVES his train table.

He does not destroy it. He occasionally removes a few track pieces but that's it, and he doesn't get bored with it.

Re: Train table question

18 months-5 years is when it saw the most use here.

At 1 they liked it, but it wasn't until about 18 months that they started putting the trains on the track.

By 2.5-3 they were making their own tracks, and then 4.5-5 started getting bored and moving on to other things like Legos

And my DD never really liked it for some reason, unless the little boy I babysit is here. He LOVES trains so she will play with him, but when he's not around she totally ignores it.

We got one for DD when she was 2. She still loves it at 5. DS has been obsessed with it since 11 months.

Most likely nursing and typing. Please pardon any mistakes.
