Trainers!!! Help. Seriously, help me.
MY DD was totally potty trained for 4 months and is now peeing herself all day. It is a power thing. So annoyed and not wanting to get trainers. I'm all about undies or diapers. Reality is, she needs something to keep her pants dry so I'm not wiping up puddles and washing 5 pairs of pants every day. One day is awesome, the next a total fail.
She is chunky with a shorter rise IMO. I really liked gerber trainers because she rarely lets go totally but I can't get them big enough. They are too snug for her to pull up and down. Tried on Charlie Banana swim diapers but she doesn't want them because they feel like a diaper? The Flip! LOL. That thing is a joke! An ill-fitting diaper. That what it is. I can't believe anyone would bother. Any suggestions on a cheap solution for all cotton underwear-style trainers? I'm talking <10 ea.

My dd did the same thing and I'm so frustrated. Just when I started bragging about her being potty trained, too! I broke down and I'm getting some trainers in a co-op. Crossing my fingers that they will work. Also annoying is the fact that she seems more motivated to stay dry in a disposable diaper than a cloth diaper.

Could you do some sort of panties and a Dappy nylon pull-on?

I love the nylon Dappis I'm using with DS. He still feels the wet underpants but I don't have to wash a million pairs of pants.

I also recommend the dappis. Here's a tutorial I found to sew your own gerber-style cloth trainers:

Quote:
The biggest problem with them is that they do not hold much. Definitely much more than Gerbers, but less than a regular diaper. They are wonderful for when she just forgets to let me know (still too little to pull them up and down by herself), starts then stops and runs to the potty, which is what we really need them for. In cases like this they definitely protect the clothes and are easy to change. ETA: The owner lost her husband in a car accident and is now the sole breadwinner for her family. Definitely a shop worth supporting.

Both my girls found the nylon pull-ons uncomfortable.

I make underwear style trainers. My normal price is $13ppd each but I could give a discount to help a bit. You can PM me if you would like.
