Re: Twins?
Ditto to what everyone else says. I've had crazy dark HPT's early in pregnancy, but no twins. My sister has 9mo old twin girls and her hcG was very slow rising with them, to the point they questioned whether the pregnancy was going to stick or not.
Intensity of the test line definitely isn't a good indicator on how many you have baking in there. ![]() Congrats on your pregnancy!

Re: Twins?
My twin pregnancy had a SUPER dark line at 14DPO and my pregnancy now had a very faint line at 14DPO. So for me the dark line was a sign of two babies. That is not the case for all mamas. You really will not know until your ultrasound.

I've always had pretty light lines. It takes forever for my body to let enough hormone spill to make dark lines. I've had two singletons and this pregnancy started as twins.

Re: Twins?
I'm thinking I may have twins. We find out in two weeks. I am a fraternal twins and so is my mom and her mom, like ten generations back. We shall see!

Re: Twins?
I always had really dark lines around 12-14 dpo, lines that were darker than the control line in most cases and have only had 1 baby all three times. My sister, who did have twins, had very faint lines from the time she got positive until she got to the doctor.

I had dark pg tests and my HCG levels were high at my OB's office. I'm having his one baby. High HCG can mean twins but it can also mean nothing. I wouldn't worry at this point.

Also, there are several sets of twins in my family so I understand the concern.
