kite fold. you can always add a little doubler in the heavy wet zone.

I don't have the Diaper Rite but I do have Imagine flats, which I think are about the same size (the Imagines might actually be slightly smaller). They worked quite well on ds as a newborn and I either folded into quarters and used like a prefold, or did the newborn kite fold. Both of those folds were pretty much outgrown by about 12 lbs and I moved on to the regular kite fold, which still works if I use a doubler. There is a thread around here somewhere that has instructions with pictures for a bunch of different flat folds. It really helped me figure out flats.
