Flats at night? Walk me through this :)

So ATM we have some really ratty fitteds that I am having to add 3 doublers to so they will work at night. I would love to throw them and just use the flats we have.
I have 2 large GMD flats and a bunch of medium and smalls along w/ a bunch of doublers.
DD2 is a moderate to heavy wetter (1 yr old so sleeping 12hrs). Can I make this work somehow so I dont need to buy anything new?
Padfolding or pinning(what folds)?

I have succesfully used flats on a heavy wetter that slept 12 hours. Lots of options with what you have. Kite fold w large with small pad folded flat as doubler. Two meds padfolded together, or a med padfolded w a small... I think as long as you combine two flats in some way you should be good to go. I used to do 2 flats padfolded in a flip cover for night really successfully tooo.

Padfolded with a hemp doubler or Kite folded with hemp doubler or 2 under wool or fleece.

I use a padfolded flat with a hemp or bamboo doubler every night with both my 2yo and my 3yo. Works great for us

I have done a kite fold--in that I would put any of the following--padfold flat, tri-fold pf, or a hemp babies doubler. At night I always line with fleece that I just cut myself.

Ok I am anxious to try it. She can be held in to Flip stay dry inserts too but we are trading those off. That is great to know that a few different things will work. We have a LB wool wrap and a RB soaker otherwise it is PUL for us and we wouldnt have the wool except the one isnt selling on FSOT and the other is stained enough not to sell so I will use those as long as they fit.

My almost 5yo was the HEAVIEST wetter ever when he was a toddler, it was just crazy. He could literally make a puddle in his bed even with a night time disposable on. We literally had to wash all of his bedding, mattress pad, etc. and give him a full bath EVERY single morning. Finally I just had ENOUGH it and decided to try cloth on him (as well as buying a new toddler bed mattress, ugh!). Since he had such potent smelling pee at night we tried flats expecting the worst that could happen was the same puddle we were used to nightly.

We doubled them up either folded and pinned under a wool soaker or padfolded in a Flip. Absolutely ZERO leaks, ever. We never had any smell issues even when anything else would get ammonia terribly. Seriously flats saved my sanity with him!!! My 18 month old is the same was as his big brother and has been soaking disposables for awhile, so we are trying 2 flats (the new Flip organic daytime flats) padfolded in a Flip and have not had any leaking at all. The awesome thing is that doubled flats are WAY less bulky that most other options and get much cleaner

i use 2 blueberry bamboo flats oragami folded under a bummis pull up cover on my 19 month old. the outside of the flat is not wet in the morning usually.

I use 2 GMD size small flats, folded with the fold in my sig line, and a hemp doubler for my kiddo who floods overnight Huggies. It goes under a Thirsties Duo these days, he outgrew Flips. Since you have large flats, you could probably skip the doubler.

We do bamboo flats or IKEA flats, origami folded, with a newborn (I think? It's very small, anyway) prefold pad folded as a doubler, in a flip cover and upcycled longies on top. It works very well. Night time is the one area of cloth diapering that is currently working for us. Sigh.
