Diaper Swappers

I had baby clothes already washed and put away from my first two. I periodically go through some of them anyway when lending clothes to a friend or packing away outgrown items, and I think I went through them sometime after 30 weeks to refresh myself with what I had. But I didn't start putting them in drawers or packing a bag till around 37 weeks, which is considered to term. Any earlier and I'd just be staring at the baby stuff, impatient to use them!

I'll probably wash everything around 34 weeks. And if shes not born by 38 I'll re-wash (my babies usually comes early)

Ahhhh! I would love to be washing little things and nesting in any form! Right now everything is in the process of being packed for our move in 2 1/2 weeks. I will be 35 weeks before I can even think about starting!

NOW! When I went to the hospital the other day I had NOTHING ready! We threw my deoderant, toothbrush and slippers in a wal-mart bag! Not a good feeling. I had hardly anything for myself and nothing for the baby (he wouldn't be coming home right away anyhow I guess) but it is much better to be prepared....even if it just sits there.

I think that's partly why I feel better having gotten everything together. Hearing your story and the other, I just felt like it could happen to anyone.

it's really nice to not be thinking about it so much anymore.

besides, in the event of being put on bedrest, it would be hard to pack!

I wish I could blame a move on my inability to get things washed/ready! Especially if it was a move to my dream house

I dunno.

I guess I figure with clothes washing and whatnot, if there was an emergency and baby had to come out, baby will be in NICU and if I can't find time to wash clothes DH or my mom will. They are clean though so they wouldn't have to be washed technically.

As far as a bag, we packed a few things in like 5 mins and hospitals have all the essential stuff anyway so toiletries we just used theirs.

I'm starting today

I've got diapers washing now but baby clothes I'll hold off on for an other couple of weeks. I've got my bag and baby's bag set out and I'm filling them up slowly. I've also put my toiletry bag out on the bathroom counter so I can just grab it and throw it in the bag when the time comes.

I tore the bassinet apart to wash the linens and i took boppy covers off to wash, and crib sheets and some blankets. Dont know what got into me
