Re: What does your midwife charge?
In northern Cali it as $3000. I had medi-cal which covered all the ultrasounds and bloodwork. The birth kit was like $50ish.

The mw I planned to use charges $6400. I'd have to pay it up front then wait for insurance to reimburse after the birth which was not possible for us.

Re: What does your midwife charge?
It's covered by our medical but I believe they get paid about $3000 per 'course of care' which includes all the prenatal, the birth (home or hospital) and then the post partum home visits and office visits.

Re: What does your midwife charge?
Mine is $3800 total. I have to buy my birth kit from Cascade and the liner for the La Bassine. My insurance won't cover anything
. But we might do some trade of me offering private childbirth or breastfeeding classes to some of her other clients.

Re: What does your midwife charge?
$2800 in TX for the apprentice midwife to supervise while being 100% accompanied/supervised by an experienced mw + bloodwork, home birth supplies, and sonogram. That includes home birth and all midwife fees, but not a birthing tub.
None of ours is covered on the front end by insurance but we have been told that they sometimes cover part of it on the back end. So we shall see.
