WOHM and back up pump?

I'm sleep deprived and stressed from home and work. I got to work (30 miles away from home) and when it came time to pump, I discovered that I forgot the breast shields for my PISA! I ended up running to Target and buying 2 shields and valves but man, I never want to be in that situation again! I lucked out by getting the last 2 shields at Target. Whew!

But do you working mamas who pump at work have a back up pump in case something like this happens? I don't want to get another PISA (insurance does not reimburse) so perhaps a manual pump at the office will do? What do other working mamas here do?

I don't .. And I live 30 min drive from home. Yesterday and only had one set of shields/valves when I got to work.

I do have my old PIS that is 5 years old that I used for 7 months with both my boys that I have thought about putting in my van but I would need to get a 2nd set of shields. It is in the basement and I never remember when I am at home.

I have 2 sets of everything and 4 sets of membranes (saved what I was given in the hospital with first baby). I keep it all inside my PIS and bring it back and forth everyday. I just clean what I use and set it right by the door for the next morning. I like having the extras in case something breaks.
