dd2 was 6 years and 2.5 months!

It was a health issue that bfing really helped with. It wasn't weird but I wouldn't plan on doing it again. It was a really long time to be lactating since i only had 4 months off since my odd was born. Then I got pregnant with ydd 4 months after weaning dd2 so in the past almost fifteen years I have been lactating all but 8 months.

My odd was 4, my DS was 22 months and my ydd is 28 months and still nursing.

Compared to these others, I feel like I need to say "ONLY" 38 months.

After tandeming for 9 months, I was just done. She had already begun weaning on her own (skipping days, etc.). She asked one day, and I said, "I think you've gotten too big for nursing." Her response was, "I guess." That was it, she was weaned. I hope to make it to at least 3 with DD2, but am currently tandeming with DD3, so we shall see.

Not nursing, but I still pump 15/20oz a day for my six year old.

I didn't find it weird to nurse a 4 year old (nearly 5). The nice thing about it is that limits can be set and they understand! IE not unless we are at home, you must stop in 2 minutes, if you bite you are done (possibly forever lol). I guess ds2 is not done because he nursed yesterday for a few minutes.. well, whatever..

DD is 4y5m and shows no signs of stopping.

I asked her when she thought she would be done and she said when she is 6. :lol I have been tandeming since DS was born almost 2 years ago, and it works fine for us, but we want to have another baby sometime soonish, and I'm pretty sure I can't nurse three kids.

4 yrs 3 mnths. I wanted to wean earlier, dh was against it. She whine & complained about the weaning for years!!!

My oldest was weaned at 9 months (her choice, crazy kid!!!) and the others at 3 1/2. My youngest is 3 yrs 2 months & I am very ready to be done!

My Aunt nursed one of hers til 10. insanity!!!
