You guys are wonderful. Thanks! My insecurity about it really isnt from anything I've perceived from the group - just myself. I feel like I am handling things ok, but the reality of the situation has killed my happy pregnancy buzz for sure.

My OB put me on some medication that starts with a P to relax my contractions. They aren't useful contractions (more like BH), but they register on the machine and there's a lot of them. I dont think anyone knows what makes some women with placenta previa bleed and others dont, but they are trying to calm these contractions in hopes that it helps. Bed rest day #3 done!

Yay! You got through day 3 of bed rest!

I hope the medication helps you. I have yet to get any BH so I am feeling like I am in good shape. With DS they freaked me out I remember. I can only imagine what they will do to me this time.

Today my little guy has been sleeping most of the day. I have felt him move but I hate these quiet days! Not good for my nerves! I think we are having chinese food for dinner tonight. Maybe that will wake him up.

Im "high risk" because of so may preterm labor and deliveries.
My first baby - Pretty smooth pregnancy, born at 38.5 weeks.
2nd - Contractions started at 18 weeks, started dilation and effacing at 28 with a 2 week hospital stay. 34 weeks 5 dayw water broke, baby born. She only stayed 2 extra days, but did require extra care and appts for apprx 4 weeks.
Baby 3 - Contractions from 22 weeks on, early dilation and effacing. Short hospital stay at 30 weeks. Labor started at 34 weeks 2 days, he was born 20 min after we got to the hospital. Required extra 2 days, should have been admitted to nicu but it was a military hossy and they were clueless. Lota of extra care at home, er trip, ect.
Baby 4 - Water broke week 31. He flipped breech at week 32 was born via cesarean. Overall healthy, 4 week nicu stay
Baby 5 - VBAC at home, water leaked at 34 weeks. Tons of vit c and bedrest and it sealed. Water broke.fully 38.5 weeks
Baby 6 - Preterm labor 28 weeks. 2 weeks hospital stay. Water broke at 34. Tried labor but endes up.with cesarean #2.

Were now preggers with our last. Ive been on P17 since week 18 and I think its helping. As of Tues my cervix was still long and barley funneling. However Ive been in the hossy since Tues with a kidney infection. Praying to get to 37 weeks! Im 28wk 5days, getting closer.

Ya'll sound like your standing strong in trying to do whats best for baby and doing great! Dont grow weary, I know there's moments that will be hard but these sweet babes will be worth it. Ya'll are amazing!

Ive had 3 34 weekers and they do quite well. Only a few more weeks, hang in there! 36 would be amazing! My 34 weekers had feeding issues for about 4 weeks but they weren't bad, just takes them a while to learn "suck/swallow/breathe" in a smooth flowing motion. I went on to breastfeed all 3. If you have any specific Qs Id be happy to help.

AFM - I had a non-OB ultrasound today (for my oncologist) and it was uneventful. So I think I will not be hearing from her till April! My son (inside me) was dancing around a bit but that just was reassuring! DS (outside) was well behaved too. Next appointment is OB on Tuesday (a week from tomorrow).

I am, although nothing like you guys

I had pre-e with my first and preterm labor. My pre-e was pretty bad but nothing like my aunt, she went into cardiac arrest from hers and ended up in a coma for 3 months.
My second I had preterm labor starting at around 30 weeks, full blown at 34 although they stopped it. Both pregnancies I delivered at 37 weeks exactly.
This time I have a even more sensitive cervix than last time ( I was on bedrest with both girls for months, in the hospital with #2 from bleeding).
I am 10 weeks and I have been bleeding daily since 5 weeks. I am on modified bedrest for now, and pelvic rest since 5 weeks. I will be put on full on bedrest by about 20 weeks my doctor said if things do not change. I am mostly concerned because I am a photographer and I have a wedding this weekend. 6 hours of work I can't get out of it but I did get a second shooter thank goodness. I told my doctor and he okay'd it just said to sit as often as possible. Prayers that Saturday goes well please!

Just wanted to send my support. I am 3 months post with baby number two and was on modified bed rest from 32 weeks on after getting pneumonia. Then I struggled with high blood pressure, high fluid levels and gestational diabetes. Oh and a gigantic headed baby!!. I had so many appointments and blood tests in the end. I was sent to labor and delivery a few weeks in a row.

I made it to 37 weeks and had a smooth scheduled repeat c- section (stalled labor with my first). Everything has been great since. I know you all can make it and I hope for nothing but positive outcomes for all of you!!!

I'm high risk because of IC. My docs are placing my cerclage on Thursday at 14 weeks. Hoping all goes well. My last cerclage was the most difficult they have ever done because of my anatomy. Its scary, but necessary for me to make out to term.
