Does the baby move less when you're sick?
I've been sick ALL week with a flu/cold something. It's been miserable. I haven't been sick this long other than morning sickness. This baby has been a super active baby, always kicking and moving. He still is but it seems to be less frequent and less strong. Do I need to worry or could it just be because I've been sick. He still is moving the required 10 times in 2 hours ( I think, it's hard to pay attention for two hours). It's just not as much as usual. Oh, I'm 25 weeks.

Re: Does the baby move less when you're sick?
When I have a cold, they move normally. When I have a tummy bug, they always seem to move way more than normal - of course that could be just that I'm more sensitive to their movements, but the rumbling and gurgling that comes along with a tummy bug seems to get baby moving... not a great thing, lol.
Baby could also just be having a quieter day. Hiccup has 3-4 days of tons of sharp movement, rolling, kicking, stretching and pushing out, then a couple quieter days with much less sharp movements (from my perspective, anyways!). In the end, if you're concerned, go and get baby checked out. God gave us mommy intuition for a reason!

Re: Does the baby move less when you're sick?
At 25 weeks it is TOTALLY normal for the baby to have one or even two quiet days in a row. Even at 36 weeks my baby has a quiet half day where she just sleeps the morning away. I would be concerned if you are running a fever or if you get dehydrated. Make sure to monitor yourself and take good care of your body and baby. You can always drink some juice and sit down to count movements but usually that is for 28 weeks+.
I hope you feel better soon, hugs to you mama!

I think babies move less when you're dehydrated.
if you're sick, it's likely you're also dehydrated.. especially if you're feverish.

Well, baby is kicking up a storm today. I'm still feeling yucky but it's nice to feel him moving lots. I guess he just had a quiet period.

Nope, not for me, I had the flu all week and this LO was kicking me in the stomach the whole time, made everything worse. I wish, I might have gotten over it sooner.
