Kid-friendly, but strong bug repellent??

Does it exist? We are leaving in a few weeks to go to Panama for 8 days. We will not be taking anti-malarial medication as it is not recommended for the areas of the country we will be visiting (the Canal Zone and just west of it), but it does recommend to use a strong bug spray. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't think it does? I think in order for it to work it has to be chemical laden. There are lots of supposed natural ones but I've found if I really want to not get bitten I need the real stuff.

I don't find you need much of it and you can spray clothes as well.

We've used All Terrain with good results.

We use all terrain with good results as well. It has eucalyptus oil in it, I believe. Off also makes a eucalyptus one as well that works great, better than nasty Deet IMO. Having said that, because of where you are going, I might bring the deet just in case

Skin-so-soft body spray, from Avon. It works really well!
We use it for mosquitoes, and it also helps deter ticks... not sure why, but we'll spray the kids ankles/calves and it seems to helps

This doesn't work on Mosquitos for me. I honestly would probably buy the strong stuff...
