Help, my catfish is still frozen!
I bought catfish nuggets last week and tossed them in my freezer out of habit. I took them out yesterday to thaw, around 1, but by 5 they hadn't thawed yet. So I got fried chicken from the store for dinner, and put the catfish in the fridge. I just took it out half an hour ago and they are STILL frozen solid.
My microwave is busted, so I can't nuke them to defrost them. My other dinner options are lamb, which is also frozen solid and doesn't have time to cook let alone defroste, and chicken, also frozen solid. I don't want to go to the store AGAIN for something quick. So I need to thaw this catfish. The problem is, I got it at the seafood counter, so it's just in a meat counter plastic bag wrapped in butcher paper, so warm water thawing won't work. Suggestions?

Re: Help, my catfish is still frozen!
I have found warm water thawing is faster then the microwave and more consistent. I put my stuff in a gallon ziplock bag if it's not in something waterproof to begin with. Fish usually takes less than 15 minutes.
