We have to load a moving trailer today (while dealing with both kiddos since we have no sitter)!and its been snowing for over 17 hours. It shows no signs of stopping. Then DH gets to figure out how to get something like 50 feet of vehicle (a dodge 2500 cummins desil quad cab extended bed), attatched to over 25 ft of trailer down our mountain driveway without sliding off a cliff. There's no wiggle room in our moving plan due to when we have to be our of our apartment, and my DH's work schedule.

It's supposed to let up around noon, I think that is what I was told for west of us, Erie it's gonna snow for another day or so I guess :-(

Do You have chains? Dh suggested sand Bags in the truck bed. He was raised in allenspark and this weather is the norm there

DH is borrowing the truck, and I don't think it has chains, the trailer is ours and it definitely doesn't have chains. We will be filling the truck bed, so I don't know if sand bags are nessessary. It's 10:30 and still snowing. And DH wants to be on the road at 1 so hopefully it gets a little better out by then!

On the brighter side, my packing Is coming along pretty well I think so I might get through this day after all!

Gah!

The trailer is an hour and a half south from our apartment, and our new house is an hour north from our apartment.

DH just called to say he blew a trailer tire on the way to the apartment. Thank goodness the roads down south had already melted.

DH high centered the trailer when it slid around a mountain corner.

We blocked the road for several hours and now the trailer is parked in a neighbors driveway until we can figure out a plan. *sigh*
