Why am i having such a hard time buying used diapers

It's not because they are used, I have a couple that are used. But I keep searching for nb aios and most of them are only a dollar or so cheaper than brand new. Even on Craigslist. Anyone else have that problem?

Newborn diapers have a higher resale value than other other diapers. If you keep watching fsot here closely there are mommas that price fairly though, you just have to dig! About 60-70% of retail seems to be a standard resale value for euc nb diapers. Good luck!

So would it actually be better to buy nb diapers new (since we are wanting several more children) and the onesized used?

That would be up to you. The nb are gently used because they are normally only used for 2-3 months so they are still in great shape at a discounted price. I try to shop sales and seconds, but I am not super picky about brands, as long as they are aios. I got half my nb stash as seconds from cotton babies and only paid $7.50 per diaper. GAD also has her pockets on sale for around $8 a diaper. Just shop around (a lot!) and you will find some good deals, new and used.

How long have you been looking? I've gotten some great deals, but like a pp said, you have to keep looking. I know a lot of people sell their NB stash to buy bigger sized diapers. Also, many sites offer free shipping and some people can't afford to sell cheap and eat the cost of shipping on top of that. They'd rather just hold onto them until someone else can pay their price. Also look into WAHM retailers (like Kissed by the Moon) who sell used diapers. Their prices are reasonable and they often have deals on shipping or a DS Mama discount code.

Flats and pfs usually run really close to retail pricing because they are expensive to ship, crazy expensive! I would buy those new, especially since you plan on using them for multiple babies.
