Shipping. Am I doing it wrong?

I'm hoping this is the right place to post. I just paid nearly 9$ to ship 6 Bummis! The PO employee that was helping me said there was no cheaper way, but that just doesn't seem right! I asked 15 PPD for the prefolds w/a snappi thinking I would end up with about 10, but ended up with 5! I wouldn't have even sold the diapers if I thought I would only end up with 5$ bc they were basically perfect condition. I still have two more listings (a nb grovia, and an econobum kit) so I'm hoping I can find a way to ship with out it costing a fortune!

So am I missing something? Am I shipping "wrong"?

you need to ship from home using paypal shipping

get some flat rate envelopes

and a shipping scale.

you can go to the usps shipping calcuator and estimate what shipping will be and add that to your price.

unfortunately with the prefolds that is probably how much they would have cost to ship anyways. I am not sure you can fit 9 in a fre for the $5.xx

I made this same mistake on some fabric last week. Luckily the Mama is being very very kind and waiting while I get the padded flat rate envelopes from the post office. I would have wound up basically giving away $25 worth of fabric after paying for the shipping the way I was going to do it lol. At least I am not the only one who feels so naive .
