Diapers for Hospital Bag

For those of you who cloth diapered from day one, how many diapers did you pack in your hospital bag?

Vaginal or cesarean birth? How long will you be there?

I was there for 1 day and only packed like 8. Def didn't need that many as they don't poo/pee much the first day.

I'm planning on a vaginal delivery and my hospital keeps their patients at least 24 hours.

I would bring two dozen. At my hospital they changed or asked us when we were changing to check for meconium or wetness often.

What style did you find worked well without irritating their umbilical cord area?

Lots of nb diapers have umbilical snap down. We used GMD orange prefolds too when we ran out of our Orange Diaper Co fitteds. Covers were blueberry mini coveralls. They don't rub the cord.

We had a dozen or so various WAHM nb fitteds and I think all had the umbilical snap down
