Diapering a small newborn

mine came home at 5lbs, 5lbs, 4lbs and 6lbs.
nanas bottoms preemies worked for all. so did preemie prefolds. 8" wipes pinned on worked for the smallest one little lambs nb aios worked for all(discontinued in like 2005 though) we mostly did nanas bottoms or prefolds and a wool pullon cover of some sort(preemie or doll size)

We used GMD small prefolds and newborn Proraps on our 6 pounder and they worked pretty well! I have some preemie prefolds for next time now!

Great thread! I am thinking I'll need these tips, I tend to have small babies. Even my 43 weeker was 6lb 13oz. I'll come back in a couple months and add some reviews.

Out of curiosity has anyone tried the newborn THX? They are co-op sold diapers from China. I have some and compared them to my little joeys. They are practically the same. I'd love to hear how they went if you've used them!

Ds was 5-15 and dropped to 5-7. He fit perfectly in nb grovia and xs sposoeasy aios. I used KL0's too but was a little paranoid about covers rubbing the cord. Bummis super brites fit from birth.

What didn't fit - thirsties duo diaper (fit perfectly after cord fell off), bummis super lite, nb simplex.

That's amazing that mine was a pound bigger than yours and stuff that fit yours didn't fit mine ha. That's the (not so) beauty of newborn diapering I guess. You really never know.

My baby was 6 lbs. 3 oz. and wore cloth from birth.

What fit:
KLO
lil joeys
blueberry mini coverall
preemie IV cover
nb nikki cover
nb mutt AI2
nb nana's bottoms

What didn't fit:
xs sandy's
nb orange-edge workhorses (they would have worked if they had a cord snap-down)
nb simplex

My NB stash will consist of KL0s but also NB Imagine Bamboo fitteds. They seem to be of similar size. No one has mentioned the Imagines, I think.
