Name help please!! DH can't pronounce the name I love.

Humm...I think spelling it differently may help but if he is just pronouncing it in an odd way you might want to ditch it, that would drive me NUTS!

What about something similar like Kaia (kai-ya), Kiera (ka-ear-a), Cierra (c-ear-a), Calla, or Kayla?

If he isn't able to consistently say it, I know I will have to choose a different name because it would drive me nuts too!!

I love those name suggestions, but part of the reason I've been struggling to find a name is because of trying to avoid friend's children's names which are close to those (Kaie, Cianna, Callan, Kayla, Kyler, Kylie, and Caden).

Oh my! That is a lot of very similar names!! Will he say Key-ra? That's close.

I had a good friend in elementary school named Kira, and I don't remember anyone ever mispronouncing it. Sorry about your DH's trouble with it, but I hope it helps to know that most people will say it correctly.

I give up, he automatically defaults to "Kara" even if he gets it right occasionally I'm also afraid that if he can't say it, his family won't be able to either which would REALLY irritate me. Back to searching.... Open to suggestions! I loved Peyton too, but our last name starts with a "P" so that won't work

Well I looked up Kira and Peyton to see what other names sites would suggest, here are some of my favorites that do not sound like your friend's names...
