Simplex diapers with shot PUL

First, don't ever let your simplex diapers sit in the dirty pail for a week (*ahem* a couple of times). Apparently 2 year old BGs, kawaii, fuzzibunz, etc can survive it, but 2 month old simplex completely deteriorate. That's what I get for having a high needs newborn I guess (inability to wash diapers every other day like I usually do).

Anyway, /tangent

Can anything be done with these diapers? Are they destined for a life as swim diapers?

Did you buy new? Saddlebees guarantees their products for 365 days

I had some of my BGs do that. And it was right after their 1 year warranty was up. My boys just use them to diaper their stuffed animals. Idk if they could be used as a fitted under wool.

I did - and I contacted Swaddlebees. Apparently they don't guarantee against pee eating up the PUL. They did, however, over to "let" me send one back so they could review it and send me one from their clearance section.

It's better than nothing I guess, but I know I won't ever buy a swaddlebee again It's a shame because they really are so trim.

You're telling me! I spent all my bday money (and then some!) on 7 of them and only got to use them for a couple months

Re: Simplex diapers with shot PUL

I am having an issue with 2 of our swaddlebees also. i have 12 total and 2 recently got really fuzzy on the outside and the inside pul in the same spot is all rough feeling. I contacted them and gave them my wash routine and they said i can mail them to them for review at my cost. I dont want to pay to mail 2 dipes back to get them returned in the same condition...gr this stinks! let me know how your outcome is. I also have one i need to send back to get a snap fixed but havent had a chance to mail yet

is the PUL shot or the cotton falling apart? the biggest difference I would say right of the bat is that all the other brands you mentioned are synthetics. Cottons will rot if set wet and dirty for weeks.

That's such a bummer and good to know. I've had weeks like that for sure and never had that happen to our PUL dipes (Flip, BG and Imagine).
