Re: I miss the good WAHM's...

I'm so sorry. People who equivocate and lie to avoid telling you that they have messed up (are delayed, etc.) really do themselves much more harm than good. It's quite literally infantile but with far more intent, self-knowledge, and responsibility than an infant has. And the, "Is that soon enough for you?" attitude is just strange to boot. It's not like she could make tomorrow any sooner, so it seems that it can't really be a genuine question.

A lot of times we would be understanding if there was a good reason for a delay. But when they start throwing those elements in, it's getting to be the time to give a negative review and give it loud, I'm afraid.

Had to open a case today. I got the diaper and it's awful There's glue all over it. A different fabric was used. All the snaps are crooked, and most don't work. And the stitching is crooked. I can't believe she would even send something out like this...

I'm so sorry mama :/

I guess I just don't understand. People must know that this is what they are sending out and people will talk about. Like dragging your own name through the mud...I have been amazed lately on the awful work of some WAHM's...which stinks, because I know there are amazing mama's out there...

I'm sorry. Unfortunately everyone with a basic $20 sewing machine or a pair of knitting needles and one basic stitch under their belts now seem to think they can make it a cash cow and call themselves a WAHM. It really tarnishes this entire niche market for the true artisans among us who have worked tirelessly to perfect their craft. Please try not to let this turn you against the true professional business women in our community.

How were her photos? Were her photos detailed, clear, and taken in natural light on a neutral background so you could truly see details to know what to expect from her products?

She didn't have many photos, but the fabric shown was a plush minky. You can tell by the photos that it is thick and fluffy. They were close up and very clear. You can see the length of the fibers. When I opened the envelope, I immediately noticed the short rough fabric. It doesn't look anything like the photos.

Re: I miss the good WAHM's... Update in post #12

I got an email today saying she completely understands (which leads me to believe she knew it was crap and was expecting me to just not want it) and I can send it back for a refund of the original purchase price. And I really out the shipping cost for an item she messed up on purpose? I have a claim open on paypal, do I need to escalate it to a dispute to send it back to her? Can I just send it back and hold on to the tracking number in case she tries to say I never sent it to her? Without an escalated dispute I can't enter the tracking number into paypal to prove I mailed it.

I would escalate it and ship it back the cheapest way possible with DC. She has to refund you all the money including shipping that you originally paid per PayPal rules.

Oh no I'm so sorry.

The stories that I read on here lately just really have me scratching my head. I just do NOT understand why a WAHM would do this.

Just tell you you have to esculate to stay within the rules of paypal and cover yourself. Tell her that per papal you are responsible for return shipping but that she has to refund the entire transaction. You need to return with DC.
