Woo hoo! So I picked up a few yards of fabric and I'm ready to start the game! If I go and post my goals now, would I be able to count the bag I made today? Or do you have to state goals before you start creating?

And if it turns out that I need something later on a yard purchased would be -8 but +8 and +4 if you use it, equaling +4 for that yard of fabric, correct?

Last question (I promise...well for now), if I'm upcycling multiple receiving blankets into wipes, how would you point that?

you can't count projects until after you signed up....so todays bag would not count

yes, but as so many people are new and posted wanting to join without knowing that post was the official start, and nobody had actually started with goals or tallying, I figured I'd give a little bit of wiggle for anyone who needs to get supplies together!

The bag today doesn't count because you made it before the game went up

If you purchase fabric during the game you get -8 per yard from your score, you regain +4 when you use fabric bought during the game (and not the +8 that you get from sewing from your stash) the spirit of the game is to use what we already have, so if you do buy a yard, and do nothing with it it is -8, if you buy a yard and do use it, in the end it still ends up being -4

you can swap yardage for yardage with someone though.... and that doesn't count against you

Upcycling for wipes would be the Finished Object points +1 for upcycled materias (plus bonus points if you do them this week)

I love love love the blue flower one. I also like the brown and the tan that are also in that picture. Then I like the one multi-color in your first picture.
I do like the jersey, but you might want to save it for dipeys since the stretch is important for them!

yes, the first time I played I had no idea and in the end that was a total point-sucking downer... so I just don't want anyone else to get stuck just because they are new, thats no fun! We want lots of people to play, that's what makes it more fun!!
