Burst of energy then labor?

So very preggo over here and due any day. Lately I have been super tired, taking a nap each day and feeling like I need to rest after doing ANYTHING. Well today I woke up with a burst of energy and the need to clean everything. Just wondering how many of you went into labor after a sudden burst of energy? My sister went into labor the next day...here's hoping!

Re: Burst of energy then labor?

I hope you are right!! I had so much energy today too! I cleaned/organized the toy room, made all our meals from scratch, made a cheesecake and my kitchen is spotless! Let's hope!! I had that same energy burst with my last DS and painted my whole kitchen(mythic paint)and had a Super Bowl party complete with house cleaning and food the last time I went into labor

And I had a Dr's appt this am and he checked me!!

I don't remember this happening, but DH says that every time I've gone into labor I've had a burst of energy for a day or 2 beforehand.
lol, he's taking that as a sign that we have lots more time before Hiccup comes because I'm exhausted every day right now!

You are so funny 9/10 days lately I could wake up, eat and then be content to lay on the couch and sleep off and on all day...I think it's abnormal to have lots of energy this late in the game

Re: Burst of energy then labor?

The day before I had little G- I Applied and got accepted to the local community college; this included driving to my previous university and high school to pick up transcripts. Went to an informational meeting about nursing school and declared my major. Went to the farmer's market. Took all the laundry in my apartment to the laundromat; went to a doctor's appointment, folded, sorted and put away all the laundry. Cleaned the entire apartment from top to bottom, including dusting under the dresser, had sex and went to sleep.

With Joey I work up at 3am, did all the laundry in the house, made a pile of stuff to bring to the hospital, and I think I cleaned my house.... but labor kicked in at some point because I don't really remember what I did in the house after the pile of stuff on the table.

So yes, burst of energy could mean labor.

Re: Burst of energy then labor?

This is hilarious! I've been curious how long I'll go with #2 - I was 10 days early with #1 and didn't experience that burst of energy before but maybe it's because I wasn't watching out for it!

I'll definitely keep an eye out this time. *fingers crossed* for all you mamas who are ready to go that your energy burst is a sign!

No baby yet, I had some promising contractions last night but they stopped. We will see if something happens today!
