Re: I just saved $X.xx buying on Craigslist!

Yesterday I bought 3 expedit shelves (Ikea cube shelves) two 2 by 2 and one 4 by 2 for $90- saved $75- and they are almost like brand new- one has a couple of light scratches but other two are spotless, they were only 10 minute drive from my house (vs the 45 minute drive to Ikea) so saved gas and time too!

My other most recent steal was an AG Addy doll with 5 outfits and a non-ag storage trunk- $60 for all, sold Addy for $40 (we already had her- just wanted her clothing) and am debating on the trunk- have a $10 offer on it- so if I take it, I will have gotten Addy' meet outfit (minus socks), her complete birthday outfit, her nightgown, her coat, and her Christmas dress for $10.

Re: I just saved $X.xx buying on Craigslist!

Last spring we bought over 400 square feet of laminate flooring (the GOOD stuff even!) for our living room and hallway for about $0.50 a square foot! =D

Re: I just saved $X.xx buying on Craigslist!

We got a 7yr old Kenmore dryer for $25 that matches the washing machine I bought there a few years aog.
I love craigslist here. There is sooooo much stuff on it that it is a ridiculous buyers market. Everything is virtually free.

Re: I just saved $X.xx buying on Craigslist!

I love CL. Especially the free section. I haven't done much lately but in the past I've gotten free stones for pathways in our yard, a freed dryer that I took the drum out of to make a fire pit, free pallets for projects, free (nice solid wood) bookcases, etc. Our chest freezer was a $50 CL find, our kelty was $60 (they had literally used it twice!). Recently bought a lot of 7 BGEs in EUC for a great price.

The local shop n swap group is great too, recently got this huuuuge cabinet for storing all my canning stuff in for $25. Got an older style ergo for $30.

We try to check CL and SNS for weeks before buying something new.
