LOL thanks ladies! It does still work with the rise snapped down, my LO wears it on the medium setting. I like the soaker on top for him, it doesn't fit as well tucked in with the rise snapped.

And it seriously took me 3 hours...it's the first time I've "made" a diaper and I've never worked with elastic before, so I think I'll try a few more of my own first before I even consider converting flips for other people lol! I wouldn't have time to do anything else!!!

How did u attach it to the side? I've been thinking of trying something similar but I was just thinking of sewing at front and back but would love to attach on the side...I have a flip not getting use now, and some prefolds and other inserts too

I just stretched the flip and sewed on top of the existing seam! I used 100% poly thread and haven't had any wicking.
