USPS tracking question

I had a package sent to me priority on the 28th. Tracking shows that it arrived at a sorting facility in a town near where it was shipped from on the 28th in the evening and nothing has been updated since then. Is it common for tracking info to not be updated daily or is the package likely lost? Should I inquire about it at the post office or the store that shipped it soon or just wait longer? Not feeling impatient with it, just worried about the lack of tracking updates.

Some POs forget to scan them or the computer doesn't update them It sucks

DC isn't tracking, it's just delivery confirmation, so it doesn't have to be scanned until it's being put in your box/at your door. It's unnerving though for sure...not knowing where it is. Today is only the 3rd business day though, so I wouldn't stress yet
