Looking into a tablet for school in fall. Dh has a kindle fire and although I love it I wish we had a bigger screen for school purposes. Any recommendations? Any certain times or sites to look for discount?

I've tried a few Android tablets but honestly nothing compares to the iPad in my opinion. I love it and Apple has great apps for children too. My husband and I have an iPad and we just bought a mini iPad which is a nice size too. We plan on getting each of the kids their own mini iPads for travel or doing some schoolwork.

We got our kids the Samsung Galaxy Tabs and we LOVE them. They are perfect for our uses. They use them for movies, games, reading books, sending emails, written summaries of the books they are reading, researching things they're working on...great investment.

WE have kindle fire. There are many educational games, but I think apps options from itunes is better.

I just wanted to throw out their that apple offers a discount for schools and teachers. and Home Schoolers qualify for it.

I had heard this but i didn't think ipads qualified for the discount?

Totally and apple fan. LOVE my iPad. I've had it for two years and have had ZERO issues with it. My toddlers use it with ease and it is surprisingly durable!
