Good starting point?
What are the best books/websites for starting EC with a newborn? I am curious and would like more info. Thank you!

I've only read "Diaper Free" by Ingrid Bauer and it was enough to convince me to try... I follow a lot of mom blogs and some of them mention EC from time to time, but I haven't really found the need for in-depth resources or anything, I'm just going to dive right in and embrace the mess.

Re: Good starting point?
I never read a book, just websites. But it was a long time ago and there were some great groups (like yahoo). I am not sure what exists now but diving in is mainly what we did. There are some definite pointers, like offer the potty ASAP when the baby wakes or after feeding. Or if you have a child like I did, offer the potty if you child is clearly hungry but only 1/2 finished nursing. Also they can only hold it for so long. As a child goes it's longer so offering the potty at certain time intervals can work too. I can't remember how often to try at what age though. basically doing enough naked time helped me learn his clues, schedule, etc.

Thanks for the tips! I guess i just need to jump in and figure out what works best. I am trying naked time here and there so i will start doing more and go from there.

Re: Good starting point?
Im in the middle of Diaper Free Baby. It's super user friendly, non-judgmental, and relaxed. It talks about a range of EC commitments, from full time to occasional. When I first read about EC in Beyond the Sling, I never imagined it would be something I would try. This book changed my opinion completely.
