Is rib knit and ribbing the same?

I am getting the impression that they are but I want to be sure.

Yes they are the same.

well, there are 2 kinds, ribbing is usually the stuff on cuffs, sometimes called 2x2 rib. Rib knit can be either the coarser kind on cuffs, or the finer stuff. So if you see a rib you have to look and see what one it might be.

So where do you find ribbing for cuffs? I got the Fishstick patterns when the coop was for them for itty bitties and I need something that will match the knit I have.

I would think for little people you want the fine rib. I would also bet that if it is marked rib, it is what you want, if it is 2x2 rib the store would mark it that way
