Eczema, diaper irritation, nighttime solution
My LO has a spot on his leg that the Dr. says is eczema. The spot is right were a rise snap rubs and it's not going away. Anyone have any similar situations? Do I need to restash with sized diapers? That's my current plan. :/
We now have a spot on each side of the leg and its made worse from the leg elastic rubbing. I've tried gdiapers but the pouch elastic still rubs it. Trying prefolds, no cover. Any tips on how to better handle this? Anyone know a super trim fold that won't rub on the legs? We might be naked soon and im not a huge fan of puddles and piles forming around the house. Lol Thanks! Last edited by Jenn135; 03-25-2013 at 09:24 PM. Reason: Different help |

Our leg spots cleared up after avoiding anything with exposed pul.
You can put a snap cover over the rise snap and see if that helps. |

Re: Eczema, diaper irritation, trim prefold folds
Huge issues with eczema over here. Can't use covers with rise snaps, either.
Dappi nylon pull-ons are the only thing that works for us. |

Re: Eczema, diaper irritation, trim prefold folds
What kind of prefolds are you using? If you are using sized prefolds that will be trim already, just fold the rise down in the back if they are too long.
here is a good site with lots of prefold folds: http://theecofriendlyfamily.com/2009...ture-tutorial/ Also if you want TRIM seriously consider flats. I can get a better fit around the legs because flats are thinner so that could work for you too.

I'd be switching to flats and pull on fleece or wool.

Re: Eczema, diaper irritation, trim prefold folds
Thanks Mamas! Is it normal for this to start 11 months into cloth diapering? I really thought we would have had issues sooner... The only change recently has been using fitteds at night vs disposables. Do you think being wet so long at night could be the cause? Should I switch to sposies for night or just change the baby more at night?

I would use prefold or flats with wool and see if that helps.
