I'm dying over here! That was sooo funny! We joke with the kids about cutting off what every appendage is bothering them . It normally ends in fits of laughter because we tickle them. I will agree the the rabbit himself is very creepily drawn.

okay....so i guess we can be officially classified as Creepy Family o.O My DS1 LOVED Progressive Phonics and he LOVED that story. He was laughing hysterically about it. He thought all of the PP stories were funny, if not a bit morbid/creepy. I didn't think the stories were bad. Maybe weird, but not bad.

We did progressive phonics and I don't remember that one. I don't find it that weird but most of their books are weird. The main books were about a dog so long it thought its tail was a different dog. The whole system was sort of "blah" to me. Then there was the snake that talked to a squeaky mouse and kept accidentally swallowing it. Yeah just weird. The boys liked them alright I guess but we liked Funnix better.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought is was fine...personally I find the Noah's Ark story more sad/scary and people decorate their infant's nursery in that theme! Yeah, cool that the animals made it on the ark but lots of folks died people!

What bothered me most was the lack of capital letters for all the names...Weird.

I still think that bunny and the story line seem a little Tales from the Crypt like, especially for the 3-6 set. I just won't read it to my daughter. Also, I think the dog Dod is cute. It's the one pp mentioned that's so long that it thinks it's rear end is a different animal and I love how he can't be entirely captured in one drawing/page.

I don't know that I would call it creepy, but it was definitely very strange... and I didn't think the illustrations were all that great either
