Homeschool co-ops in San Diego North County
I have really been on the fence about homeschooling my boy next year. He will be starting K and had been attending the California P-K program this year. He is doing well, bu there is a ration of 1:8 and next year in K it is one teacher and 30 kids
![]() My question is anyone know of any good homeschool co-ops in or near Oceanside, CA? I would be willing to go all the way to Fallbrook if needed. Thanks!

We are in Oceanside, Coastal academy is an excellent choice. My twins will start kindergarten there this next year, and I have a 4th grader there now. It is offCollege just above Oceanside blvd. go take a tour. But, you have lots if options there. Track C, is homeschool 5 days a week. You can use their curriculum or your own. If your own they will buy it for you. Track A and B is in school 2 days a week and homeschool 3 days a week. In school the ratio is 20:1. You meet with a education specialist every 6 weeks who makes sure you stay on track and reports to the state for you. It is technically a charter public school so it is all free. We even get a stipend for my sons tennis lessons!

That's okay, we have only been doing it since this last October. We are currently doing just homeschool. My son is in 4th grade and it is harder to get a spot "on track" if you don't start in kindergarten. We are on a wait list. We have done some of the extra classes, but not too many. There are a lot offered at The personalized learning center in vista, but we haven't taken advantage of those either yet. They really offer so many options you can customize your child's education up what works best for them and your family. I'd highly recommend calling them and doing a tour. You could also get your child put on a wait list for kindergarten for next year just in case you decide to go that route. We are doing track b.
