Tips for keeping 15 mo old busy while bfing NB

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to see if anyone had any tips for how to keep a pretty needy 15 month old busy and feeling cared for while breastfeeding the new baby. My 15 month old weaned while I was pregnant due to low supply/taste issues and if he wants to nurse again after the baby is born I'm ok with that but I'm trying to think up ways to make him feel included while I'm spending do much time nursing our newborn (due this June).

Any mommas out there have any tips in general for raising two kiddos 15 months apart?? I'm starting to get nervous! Thanks!

I played movies for my 15 month old, read books, and held him on the other side. My boys were 15 mos apart exactly.

I am on my fourth LO in a row, so I generally will plan for a movie during that time, or take out a toy box specifically for nursing that I am sure will keep interest. If the toys are rotated from a hidden stash, it is helpful! Also, go to a contained area and "lock" yourself in there the keep the toddler from running off and getting into mischief. Hope that helps!

This is what I plan to do. Keep us contained in the living room where I can keep an eye on him!

Thanks everyone for the ideas! I think the new baby is going to be living in the moby wrap!
