Crockpot chili - cornbread question
I am making crockpot chili for the first time and I always make cornbread to go with chili. Has anyone ever poured the cornbread wet mixture over the top of the chili and cooked it that way? When do you pour it over - halfway through? Is this a dumb idea? I just don't want to turn on my oven if I don't have to, because it scares one of my dogs.

Re: Crockpot chili - cornbread question
![]() This sounds like a great idea that I would have no idea how to execute. It reminds me of the Bisquick biscuit dumpling thing my mom did with her stew.

Re: Crockpot chili - cornbread question
I would add to the end of the cooking time, put it on high, cover, and cook 30-40 min.
