Easter Egg fillers?

My extended family just decided to do a huge egg hunt at my grandfather's house this year. I know most (if not all) of my cousins will stuff the eggs they bring with candy, so I'd like to do something different. I don't have a whole lot of budget to work with. The 17 kids range from 8 months to 16 years old, and a fairly equal mix of boys and girls, so there's someone in just about every category.

Other than little erasers and dollar store trinkets, I can't think of much to buy. Help me with some ideas!

Bonus points: one of my nephews is almost 8 and nonverbal ASD. I'd love to have a couple of special eggs just for him, but I'm not sure what to put in them. I thought of gluing or taping a few eggs shut with different things inside to shake, so each makes a different sound. Any other ideas?

Would your nephew like these? I made these for my kiddos for Easter-

Except instead of dollar store playdoh I just made some.

As for fillers, dollar store trinkets is probably good, little rings and whistles etc. you could do other things like bubbles and glowsticks and stuff, just match em up to a number you put in the egg and whoever finds that egg gets it, depending on the age

Re: Easter Egg fillers?

I was reading about ideas for this earlier around the internet. One idea that was cute was putting seeds (I'm guessing a little seed packet?) in the eggs. More:

Confetti -- just something colorful to pop out when they open it.
Balloons that aren't blown up yet.
Hair accessories.

Other ideas I saw were fairly typical of dollar store trinkets. My parents used to put coins in ours.

Money! We always had coins in our eggs, a few M&M's or jelly beans but mostly coins, it never equaled a ton of money (I think $20 maybe for 7 kids at one point) but all of us had a blast counting all that money, and shaking those jingly eggs.

Oh and we also could get pieces of paper in our eggs. My grandmother usually had a few small gifts for each kid, that she would trade the paper for, she also usually worked it out so we all got an equal number of pieces of paper
