Help me bring my crockpot to life!
I have a crock pot that I use like twice a year! I would love to use it more but I really don't know any recipes. Now that my hubby is going to be working longer hours I won't have the luxury of waiting until he got home to make dinner. Making dinner with a one year old and three year old Aline is impossible for me!! I need something I can throw together and leave it till dinner time. Thanks!!

Re: Help me bring my crockpot to life!
Are you on pinterest? There are tons of awesome crockpot recipes on there. Search for crockpot or slow cooker for more. http://pinterest.com/sciencefair/fre...rockpot-meals/
I modify most of my crockpot recipes so I can prep a bunch of meals in one evening then throw them in my freezer for later. ETA: If you are into books, I recommend the Fix-It and FOrget-It cookbooks. No pictures, but tons of recipes. Something for every person's taste.

Re: Help me bring my crockpot to life!
Well I tripled this for a party tonight - boneless skinless chicken (about two pounds) one bottle of Frank's wing sauce, and one packet of dry ranch salad dressing. Throw it all in there, allow to cook all day. Just before serving shred the chicken. Serve on buns with some celery sticks on the side...easy peasy.
I also find most soup recipes cook really well in the crockpot. Just throw everything in and simmer.
