Placenta Previa

Anyone else in here have or have had placenta previa? Mine is still complete at 25 weeks. My doctor has referred me to a specialist for my ultrasounds so they can take more exact measurements to keep track of it. There's still a chance it could move, but I'm told it's not too likely from how complete it is. I''m hoping it will move so I can have a natural birth, but if it doesn't, mostly just hoping I can get by without any complications until the csec. :/

i had a partial twice. made for long labors but no excess bleeding or anything. i think i delivered my last 2 babies with only a 3cm clearance.

give it time, you have a lot of weeks left so the placenta can go up with the uterus

I am 19 weeks and mine is complete as of right now. We see the mfm next week since my cervix is already shortening from IC and the PP. hoping the PP will move so that we are just dealing with a preemie not a c/s and preemie together. <3

Out of 8 pregnancies that mAde it to a delivery, 5 were partial previas. All moved up and I had natural births.
I hope things turn out well for you.

I had a low lying placenta at my 20 week u/s. They said they would check again around 28-30 weeks and see if it's moved up. Fingers crossed since I'm going for a VBAC this time.

I'm seeing a mfm too. What is IC? At 19 weeks you still have a pretty good chance of it moving but I hope it moves fast if you are expecting an early baby! Good luck and let me know how things go!

Low lying placentas almost always move out of the way (you only need 2 cm clearance) Good luck on your vbac!!!

Yep... I had multiple ultrasounds with DD. I had given up hope of a vaginal birth but at 34 weeks it moved up just enough I didn't need a c-section. My OB called it "borderline" but Radiologist said it was okay. I opted to have a vaginal birth (natural) and there were no complications.

Re: Placenta Previa

Partial previas usually migrate and there is no need for a C-section.But I had a Complete previa which was stubborn and although I hoped it would migrate favorably to help a vaginal delivery it didnt.I had no complications though.I was careful about how I did things but no need for bed rest.
I had a planned C-section which went smoothly and both baby and I were happy!Hope you have a smooth pregnancy without any worries! You still have time, lets hope your placenta moves!
All the best mama!

yes, mine's complete too... also hoping for it to move but I know its less likely. LOVE hearing "no complications" and "no bed rest." Hoping that's my case too! I am on strict orders from the doctor to be lazy lol. Thankfully my dd is almost 4 and very understanding that Mommy can't run, wrestle, lift, etc while pregnant. I'll be having another ultrasound at 27 weeks. It would have been a bit longer but they said I'm slightly on the low end for amniotic fluids so they want me drinking lots of water and getting rechecked.
