Hula hoops?!

What is the market for hoops? I have been making my own for years and didnt even think about selling them for some extra income.
They are adult grade trick hoops and I can also make weighted hoops and normal adult hoops.
How much would you spend on a hoop? What would make you choose my hoop over a store bought hoop?

I think hula hoops are fun & it entertains dd to watch me doing things with them. Honestly on just a normal hula hoop I wouldn't spend to much cause you can get those at dollar stores & places like that. But like on weighted hoops & trick hoops maybe charge a little more. Lets see maybe to get chosen over store ones use a thicker material so its not like the "cheapies" is pay more for one that would last. Maybe pretty colors or designs & personalization like names & such on them. If I think of more suggestions ill let you know

Unless you could mail them unassembled, they would be very expensive to ship.

I can't even imagine.
However, if you do want to try making them, if you have any local boutiques or consignment stores you may be able to sell them there.

The ones in the dollar store are kid sized and not designed for adults. Adult ones are bigger and heavier making them easier to use

Re: Hula hoops?!

I bought my hoop off Etsy a couple of years ago. I can't remember how much I paid for it. The collapsible and travel hoops that come in 4 different pieces would probably be the cheapest to ship.

I tried to link to some on Etsy, but I don't have enough posts to link yet. I would do different sizes (adult and child) and custom colors.
