I'm surprised that all of you have had ultrasounds so early! Where i live we only get one at 19 weeks, the anatomy scan. I don't even get to see my OB until 25 weeks...until then I'm just in the care of my regular doctor. I would love an early US just to set my mind at ease.

With my first pregnancy, my dr wouldn't do an u/s at all. I had to switch my dr when we switched to Tricare insurance and finally got one at 36 weeks.

They did the regular on the belly ultrasound for mine. I was kinda surprised because they usually do the transvaginal so early on.

Re: 1st Ultrasound

I thought I was 10 weeks and my due Date was nov 15th but my first ultra sound changed that to dec 2nd meaning I'm only 8 weeks.

Re: 1st Ultrasound

Maybe b/c it's the RE, they generally do the transvag. Actually, a couple times when I was stimming, they couldn't get an image of one of my ovaries tranvaginally & it was kind of a big PITA to get it done abdominally b/c they didn't have any abdominal probes handy. And I guess I'm used to them by now, but generally the transvag aren't comfortable, but they're not painful, either.

We had our ultrasound today! The little bean was measuring 6w3d which is exactly what I thought. Loved seeing that sweet little heartbeat.
