Never been so anxious to see AF..

I'm pretty sure that I finally ovulated for the first time (last week) since my son was born. I'm getting so anxious for the first pp AF so that I can really track ovulation without being hyper-anxious about avoiding DTD or barrier methods to avoid pregnancy. Also so my husband can stop asking me "are you pregnant"? Seriously, that's his question for EVERYTHING.

This is going to soubd strange- but I ovulated a FEW times before I see saw a PP aF! Let me explain- I would have the EWCM, and the shooting pains on whichever side I was ovulating on. Which freaked me out when my period disnt show! But it does make sense since you can still get pregnant while EBF and not having a period. I didn't get mine back until ds2 was like 15 months.. and I nursed him until he was two.
Era: sorry for typos & realized it wasn't too helpful. I either try to avoid or we are extra careful with condoms. I do not want the pill again- but it loos like that is where I'm headed for now.

Re: Never been so anxious to see AF..

Actually I do understand what you mean, because I felt crampy twice before really being sure that I was ovulating. Not sure if there was just too much nursing going on or something.
I know that before having kids I NEVER felt ovulation. That is why we have my son, lol. I thought my period was starting, but it was actually ovulation. I was caught off-gaurd because I had never felt that before.
Thank goodness I have a better handle on it now I really want to be able to focus on my doula work and apprenticing with my midwife, and my husband really is high-stress around babies. AF showed up right when it was supposed to, Friday. YAY.
