Re: Anyone else disappointed by their husband on Mother's Day?

I got a kiss and a pat on the butt from that man. My 5 year old had a goodie bag full of sweet things from Kindergarten though. Totally made me cry!

Re: Anyone else disappointed by their husband on Mother's Day?

My husband is still in bed. He decided years ago without consulting me that mother's day is stupid and that his mother never cared about it (sure) and he never does anything for it. It's not worth the fuss. Sometimes I will try to get him to let me sleep in or request a nice dinner and he will oblige. But being thoughtful on his own? Not gonna happen.

He is doing dishes now (because he is OCD, not to be nice). He did give me a hug and told me "Happy Mother's Day." I asked him if he appreciates me, and he said that he does. I then asked him if I do a good job, to which he replied, "Most of the time." Yes, I may live with Sheldon Cooper. Mamas, don't let your girls marry nerdy, socially-awkward engineers!

He made breakfast!

I think next year, I shall make him an Excel spreadsheet of what to do and replies. Ha!

Sounds like a runner up for the douchbag award. I hope he has some redeeming qualities.

Well I got a happy mothers day after being awake with the kids for over an hour. Then got to make breakfast for everyone including his mother who invited herself over to stay last night. We are now watching some ****ty zombie movie while I try and rock the baby to sleep for a nap. Then we get to take his mom grocery shopping. Happy mothers day indeed.

Pretty disappointed

I got a phone call from my older sisters wishing me a happy Mother's Day and my older daughter crawled into bed and gave me a card she made at school. It is now noon and my husband hasn't said anything.
On Father's Day he got breakfast in bed, a card from me, a picture I helped the girls do with handprint art, and a gift certificate to a local golf course. I've been pretty down lately and was looking forward to a nice day. It's rainy, both girls are hyper and hubs is leaving for work in an hour. I'm taking a power nap

I got yelled at and told he does everything while I just sit around. I've had sinus problems for over a week, have barely been sleeping thanks to ds2 who is waaaay over cranky these days and very clingy, running around for his stuff and the kids, keeping the house cleaned, food on the table and managing a full time course load for school. I was doing nothing beyond the basics yesterday because I'm tired and feel crappy. But he did laundry, not folded, just put through the washer and dryer. So I'm lazy.
