Wicking on outer cloth

I have a couple super cute diapers with a cotton cloth exterior fabric and I have noticed wicking from around my daughter's legs onto the exterior fabric when she pees.

Any suggestions on what to do to prevent wicking?

Other than change VERY often, no. its the big downside to cute cotton prints! I would only use ours under wool so the wicking didn't cause a problem, but eventually got rid of all of them...good luck!

sorry, i'm really bad at autocorrect and I don't like proof reading!

Maybe spray with DWR durable water repellent. It in the camping stuff, I think they sell it at walmart.

You could try adding more absorbency in the wet-zone, to help, but I agree that changing more frequently is the best option. If you're going out, put a breathable fleece or wool cover over them for extra protection

I second the DWR, but other than that and increasing absorbancy as PP said, there is not a ton you can do.

I spray mine with DWR about every 100-150 washes or when they start to wick. Make sure you don't get any on the inside or you'll be water proofing your absorbant layers.

What kind of inserts do you ladies use? I am currently using MF but trying out prefold diapers from when she was a NB.

I am bummed because these have a hidden PUL layer so I thought they would be perfect
