Re: Lotus Bumz

I got some as a gift, and I have been pretty happy with them! Im pretty new to cd, so i dont have tons of experience but I think they are pretty good- they fit my 8lb daughter ( without even using the crossover snaps), and go huge, so I think they really are a good "os" and they have not leaked yet. The insert is really large, and not nearly as absorbent as my fb os elite inserts, but it gets the job done. Eventually I'm sure ill need to double stuff them. They might not hold up forever- but they're doing great so far and seriously have the cutest prints!
I had lowerish expectations and I have been surprised how well I like them

Re: Lotus Bumz

I just saw them in an ad in Hobby Farm (magazine) and checked out their site the other day. Cute patterns. That's all I know. I want the berries pattern

Re: Lotus Bumz

The original Lotus Bumz were definitely Alvas. Now they are either working with a different factory or sending fabric somewhere in China. Alvas are not CPSIA compliant. I don't know if the newest Lotus Bumz are... probably not, it's a LOT of work to be compliant, but IDK. If someone has one of their non-Alva models, maybe you could share what the care tag says.

If no one does before I get mine (might be a while since I did order it through Zulily lol) I'll share.

That's because Zulily doesn't receive the inventory. They have to receive and process the orders, submit the orders to the respective manufacturers, and then THEY have to process and ship those orders out.

I bought a few from zulily when I was prego before I did my research. Now that my ds is here I definitely prefer my BGs. As in I've used one lotus bumz once. The are definitely bigger thru crotch so I'm hoping that once he gets bigger they will work better bc idk if anyone would buy them :/ the prints are adorable tho. Mine have four snaps on each side. That's eight snaps!! Maybe I'm lazy but that's craziness to me

Re: Lotus Bumz

I have a friend who regularly sells products on Zulily and she ships to them. They have several warehouses where they receive, process and ship orders, that's why you can combine stuff on their website. But she does not ship to them until after the sale is over.

Oh nice! My knowledge is older--my friend who used to be ops manager for a manufacturer explained it the way I did, but that was many years ago when Zulily was much smaller and major CD manufacturers were still clearancing to them. I suspect retailer complaints kind of put a halt on that and that's why you see more inventory clearance through "all participating retailers" now AND why you see so many of these no-name/relabeled black market diapers through Zulily now.
